A direct debit is set up by the company you're paying, so you can't set them up yourself or amend them online.
You can view all the Direct Debits currently active on your account via Online Banking.
How do I change a Direct Debit?
To change your direct debit, you'll need to contact the company that is making the payment. Unfortunately, the direct debit agreement is between you and them, and we can't make changes on your behalf.
How do I change a Standing Order?
Standing orders are different. A standing order is an agreement with us to pay someone an agreed amount at regular periods on your behalf.
Because the order is with us, you can ask us to cancel it or to change the amount, frequency, due date, and reference at any time. To do this, you'll need to contact us by secure message via online banking or email sent to accounts@creditunion.co.uk.
Please include:
- Your full name
- Member number (or account number)
- Name of the person you are paying
- What you would like to change
Once we have made the requested change, we will send you a secure message to confirm it.
Changes to standing orders cannot be done on the phone.
