We understand that sometimes you may need to withdraw money from your account without using Online Banking. You can request a withdrawal by visiting a branch or by sending us an email.
Processing Times
All withdrawal requests made in the branch or by email take up to 5 working days to process. If you need your money faster, we strongly recommend using Online Banking, which is much quicker and more convenient.
Why Use Online Banking?
With Online Banking, you can transfer money in just a few minutes, and the funds usually arrive in your external bank account shortly after. It’s also secure, easy to use, and gives you greater control over your finances.
To use Online Banking for withdrawals:
- Register for Online Banking (if you haven’t done it already).
- Set up a Payee – the bank account you want to send money to.
- Process your transfer online anytime (it's done within a few minutes!).
Requesting a Withdrawal by Email
If you're unable to visit a branch or use Online Banking or our mobile app, you can request a withdrawal by email. However, for security reasons, there are some important rules to follow:
- Email the correct address: You must send your request to accounts@creditunion.co.uk. Requests sent to other addresses will not be processed and may cause a duplication of the transfer.
- Use your registered email: The email must come from the email address we have on file for you. This helps us verify your identity.
- Send to previously used accounts only: We can only transfer funds to external accounts that you’ve previously used with us. This helps protect against fraud and scams.
