You're not limited to membership with just one credit union - many people find it beneficial to join multiple credit unions to access different products and services. Understanding how this works can help you make the most of what the credit union movement has to offer.
Finding Credit Unions You Can Join
There are hundreds of credit unions across the UK, so there's a good chance you may be able to join more than one. To check which credit unions you can join, click here. Each credit union has its own products, loan rates, rules and procedures, and slightly different ways of doing things. You are free to shop around and choose a credit union that works for you. We're biased, but we think we are the best though!
Regulation and Security
All credit unions in the UK are regulated by the FCA and PRA in the same way. So you can always be confident that your money is secure and that the credit union is well-run.
Important Information About Multiple Memberships
If you do end up joining more than one credit union, though, please remember that each credit union is independent. Because of that, we don't share information about you or your account. This means that we can't answer questions or provide support with any credit union accounts or loans you might have elsewhere.
