To use our services, you need to become a member by applying for membership. After you apply, our team will check the information you have provided in order to verify your identity, and then get your Membership Account and Member Number set up for you.
Reasons for Rejection
Unlike loans, we don't take into account your financial situation when deciding if you can become a credit union member. Because of this, as long as you are eligible for membership, your application is very likely to go through without problems.
There are a small number of reasons why your application might not be accepted. They include:
- If you don't meet the qualifications for membership (our 'common bond').
- You are under 18, and don't have authorisation from a parent or guardian
- If our referencing check indicates that there may be a high risk of fraud or criminal activity
- You haven't responded to requests for additional information or clarification when you applied.
