Depositing money into your account

There are a number of ways to pay into your account, either regularly or as a one-off. Helping you build your savings is important to us, so we encourage you to get into the habit of paying into your membership account as often as you can.

When you joined

If you recently joined the credit union, you will have had the option to set up a regular payment into your account. This may either be via direct debit or a salary deduction, depending on your employer.

You can change the amount deducted each month by contacting us.

One-off payments

If you would like to make a one-off payment into your account, you can do it online via our secure payment page. You'll be able to make a one-off payment using a debit card. You'll need to provide your member number so we know which account to pay it into. These types of payments can take 1-2 working days to show up in your account.

Paying in regularly

You can pay a regular amount into your credit union Membership account each month by setting up a direct debit, or, if your employer offers it, through salary deduction.

You will have been guided through the process of setting up a direct debit or salary deduction when you applied for a loan or became a member. However, if, for whatever reason, you need to set up a direct debit from scratch, you can do that via our website. Click here to set up a new Direct Debit if you haven't done it yet.

In a branch

If you live nearby, you can pay in cash or cheque by visiting one of our branches. Opening hours are 9:30 am-4:30 pm Monday to Friday. There may be a fee for depositing larger amounts of cash.

If you have a current account

Your credit union current account (CUCA) comes with its own account number and sort code, allowing you to pay money into it from another bank or building society. Depending on your bank and how you do it, funds can be transferred into your credit union account in as little as 5 minutes.

It can be difficult to get back money sent this way if you send it to the wrong account by mistake. Because of this, you must double-check the account details you're using before going ahead.
