Providing your service expiry date

What is Your Service Expiry Date?

The Service Expiry Date is the formal end date of your current engagement with the Ministry of Defence. It defines the duration of your agreed service period and is important for administrative planning, contract reviews, and career transitions. Whether you are preparing for renewal, release, or reassignment, knowing this date helps ensure you're always one step ahead.

How to Find Your Service Expiry Date

To locate your Service Expiry Date, follow these steps:

  • Access the Personnel Profile Form through your unit's administrative portal or personnel system

  • Navigate to the Engagement Information Section, which comes after the identity section, containing fields like Nationality, Gender, and Religion

  • Look for the field explicitly labelled "Your engagement expiry date is stated here" - this is usually positioned at the bottom of the engagement data fields

  • Note the date format, which is typically listed in DD/MM/YYYY format

  • If the field is blank, outdated, or inaccessible, contact your HR administrator or line manager to confirm the correct expiry information

For loan processing, we would ask for a screenshot of the whole page showing your Service Expiry Date along with your other engagement information.
