Activating your debit card

Getting your new London Mutual Credit Union debit card is an exciting step toward managing your finances with ease and confidence. To start making secure payments and accessing your account, you’ll need to activate your debit card. This guide outlines the simple steps to ensure your card is ready to use, whether you’re banking online, in-branch or through our app.

Check You’ve Received Your Card and PIN

Once your debit card arrives in the post, please ensure you also have your 4-digit PIN (Personal Identification Number), which is sent in a separate letter for your security. Do not share your PIN with anyone and keep it in a safe place.

How to Activate Your Debit Card

  • Make a PIN-enabled purchase at any UK retailer or withdraw cash at a Link ATM. Your first successful transaction will automatically activate your card.

Double-check that you are using the correct PIN and your card details. Reach out to our Member Services team via our online banking, mobile app, or telephone during business hours for further support on 0203 773 1751 (option 4)
