Got a brand new VISA debit card from us? Just so you know, you will need to activate it before using it for the first time. Keep in mind that contactless payments, online purchases, and recurring payments such as subscriptions will only be possible once the card is activated. To star using the card, you need to wait for your PIN which will be posted to you 3-4 days after the card is dispatched.
Ways to Activate Your Card
You can activate your new card in any of these three ways:
- Head to any Link ATM (cash machine) and take out cash using your new VISA debit card and PIN.
- Make a Chip and PIN purchase in person. You can do this at any store or retailer where Mastercard is accepted using your new debit card and PIN.
- Call Helpdesk line on 02037731751 (open 24 hours/7 days a week).
- Visit our branch in Peckham or Elephant & Castle.
The good news is that activating your card is easy and can be done 24 hours a day from anywhere in the UK. You will only need to do this once, so as soon as your card is activated, you are good to go.
Important to know: Just to let you know that PIN number cannot be changed. You would need to memorise it. PIN number can be retrieved any time when you login to your Online Banking App with us.
